Stirling Olson

Stirling Olson is the Chief Information Officer at PHOENIX, where he leads technology strategy, security, compliance, and the company’s engineering and IT teams. His career spans more than two decades of experience across software engineering, consulting, and executive leadership, beginning as a software engineer in Nagoya, Japan and later overseeing technology for a transportation business near the Port of Newark. He went on to build a leading Boulder-based software consultancy and serve as a fractional CTO helping startups scale products and teams. At PHOENIX, Stirling focuses on driving innovation and modernizing technology platforms, ensuring that technology investments strengthen the company’s long-term success. A graduate of Duke University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Stirling combines deep technical expertise with an approachable, people-first leadership style. Outside of work, he enjoys playing hockey, skiing, flying, sailing, and trying to convince his three kids to join him on his adventures.
